Formula pitch

This is the structure of the pitch that you will be asked to follow in your own speech. We will cover examples of how this looks in practice in class.

Example pitches

You have three options for how to structure your pitch.

Option 1

Voiceover over video - this means you will have to make your film in CANVA or another video production software.

Once you have shortened the sequences of videos so that they are timed to match the sections of your spoken pitch, you should download the video. (It is fine to use watermarked CANVA video for this assignment).

You will then need to upload your video into iMovie - you can borrow a school iPad with this software on it (or use any other software you have.) You can then record your voiceover over the top.

The two examples below are Year 12 videos, so they have more information than you will need to include in your pitches, but they are good to get a sense of what your finished product should look like.

Example 2

Option 2

This option still requires you to write a pitch, and have a filmed video, but instead of downloading and recording a voiceover on top, you are able to add your pitch as text. (This can all be done in CANVA).

Option 3

This option allows you to meet the basic assessment criteria, and still deliver a pitch - but doesn't require a filmed video.

Instead, you can have your logo behind you and stand and read your pitch to the camera and record this as your submission.

I haven't provided an example as this is fairly self-explanatory.
